This was the worst experience I’ve had in my whole entire life now I understand why it has so many bad reviews. How is this company even open?. We had reservations to pick up a car early in the morning and my husband David went paid the money they gave him a key. And then, when asked, why doesn’t the key work for the car the sassy guy at the counter told my husband what we do for fraud. I strongly advise against renting from this location, even if they offer 50% or more off. What they promise and what they actually charge is completely different. They’ll explain one thing, but then quietly add extra services and fees to your bill before showing you the final charges. When you finally see the receipt, you’ll notice unexpected add-ons that were never clearly communicated. Worse, if you arrive even 5 minutes before your reserved time, they’ll silently charge you for an entire extra day without saying a word. A... read more

I wish I could give this Thrifty location a zero. Extremely poor customer service. I reserved a car at Thrifty SJC Airport (San Jose International Airport, California) for 5pm Friday June 27, 2025. I got there around 5:35pm. The Thrifty employee at the counter (he was the only one there) came across like he didn't want to help. He very unapologetically informed me that they are still waiting for a car in the category of vehicle that I reserved, and that it could take 3 hours to get one.
