I was visiting family in Three Hills & had a medical emergency in the early evening of Sat. Jan. 3. My husband & I were pleased with the overall care that I got while there. The nurse on duty started monitoring me after no more than about 1/2 hr. & continued caring for me, as needed, through the night. Emergency department here is the worst I've seen on a global level. Never have I seen ( on multiple occasions ) health care staff move slower then canada post workers do on strike. They are beyond any kind of a rush, usually never friendly, nor helpful. I'm blown away by the lack of integrity and work ethic. I feel as if these people are held to a low standard, and no accountability.
My Wife was in this Hospital for about 3-1/2 weeks. She was transferred from another Hospital and that was a mistake. There are a few good nurses there but most of them do not seem to care. They did not change her when necessary thus resulting in 3 UTIs along with other problems. I could not get any proper answers from anyone as to what was happening . In total the care was very disappointing. My Wife passed away while there.
3 1/2 weeks my mom was in the acute care department. The Nursing Staff, well let’s say I could have done better!! There were a few nurses that were there for my mom, to change her etc…. The others should not be nurses!! The Doctor she had should not be a Doctor, in my opinion! Didn’t have answers for my questions my family asked. If we could have seen the future we should have moved her to another hospital! After 3 UTI’s in 3 1/2 weeks then she got pneumonia because they weren’t getting her up like we told them too.
