A driving scenic circle. Parks, beachfront, bbq pits, bathrooms, there's a party room for rent.
I love the trails, story walk, and swimming beach but have been very upset and disappointed that it is closed all summer this year. That was my happy thought during the long winter with nothing to do in town with my kids.
Excellent campground for camping, bring spray for ticks they are bad in 2025! Good restaurant in the park called Lakeside Grill. It is on the lake, at the South end of the loop that goes thru the park.
Stopped by the marina a few weekends ago to rent a kayak and visited with miss Baylee (sp?). She was so kind and knowledgeable. When it comes time for her raise, be sure to make it a good one ;) You just don't get the same experience at a Walmart. She's a great asset to the team. Anyway y'all.. go get out on the water, enjoy a hike, and be sure to stop in and see my girl!
