Its a beautiful place. Lots of quite places to enjoy nature.
Park is beautiful with a lot a things to do. I gave it 3 stars because when we got in late and asked the host about firewood we were told to go to the marina to buy it at $8 a small bundle. They were already closed. To notice that he is hoarding wood left by other campers at his site. He had a 4 ft. pile of wood. Did he offer any to get through the night NO. Was he using it NO just throwing it into a pile. Same host had a dog that barked constantly when he would leave his site. I understand the host is to clean the site but ... read more
State park is really nice but the camping sites need some updating. They're not be wide and most have a hillside right outside the camper door.
Nice park, good trails, clean. A big disappointment is the camp host- his dogs bark a LOT and he leaves them outside while he is gone - this is not what I expected from Missouri state parks. Otherwise I could rate a 5.
