This woman thought the trauma I went through as a child was funny. She laughed at me when I told her how my sister would lock me in closets that didn't open from the inside, or tie me up so she could go have fun with her friends. I've been to a lot of therapists and counselors over the years and she is by far the worst I've ever seen.
I've visited Dr Thorpe multiple times. She is a great experienced psychologist. She allows me to speak but is always pressing me to focus on information that can help her help me. She keeps me on task. She can be a little old school, but she knows a lot about the most current treatment options.
I would never recommend anyone to her. Not even my worst enemy.
Faced with overwhelming stress affecting my body and soul; Dr Thorpe has guided me through a quagmire into the light of living and dealing with the situation.
I found Dr. Thorpe to be very compassionate and empathetic. Her office is cozy and it feels like I am talking to a friend in their living room. She put me at ease right away as she seems to really care. I hope to stay with her for as long as I need help.
