My group of ten has rented this lovely, impeccably modernized 1790's home five years in a row! We have a professional chef in our group and he LOVES the beautiful functionality of the huge kitchen. Owners Kim and Tom have renovated this historic property with deep respect for its past and a careful eye on high quality modern conveniences. My only complaint is that everywhere else I travel throughout the year suffers by comparison. A++ rating!

Wow! What an amazing home! I've had the pleasure of staying at Thornwood on a number of occasions and all have been absolutely beautiful. Not only are the Kimble- McEntee clan an amazing family but their home is out of this world. The house is completely preserved with a lot of original pieces as well as some stunning, modern updates. What a great place for a mini family reunion. The house is wonderfully old and authentic with new kitchen and bathrooms. Huge dining table, terrific hosts, quiet spots to read and a nice patio with fire pit. We all had a uniquely fun and interesting long weekend. Try it!
It was one of the most beautiful properties I have ever managed to find myself in. The history of the house and the scenery just made it that much more charming! A lovely stay in a lovely property, with even lovelier friends :)
