My mom and I have been return customers at Thornton’s for 4 years now for repairs and advice, and were happy with the service provided until 2 months ago when 4 extremely important parts were stolen off of my mom’s excellent condition Bernina Sewing Machine. The Stitch Plate, a spare Presser Foot, Bobin Hook, and Bobin Case were missing when the machine was examined after we took it to them for a repair. I have been sewing for most of my life. I am now retired and still have a lot to learn. I met Sarah when I took my old Husqvarna in for service. I was immediately impressed with her knowledge and decorum. After completing the service information, I was drawn to the machines for sale. I am quite frustrated with my recent interaction. I purchased a 10 needle embroidery machine from them a few years ago. Had a part on it break so called to have it replaced… all the certified embroidery techs are gone and the lady I primarily dealt with over the phone is also gone. The guy that answered the phone had zero clue what he was talking about when I spoke to him about my machine.

Great place and super friendly. I bought some thread and needles and they called me back within the week to tell me my machine is done. I get my machine fixed here all the time and the tech really knows a lot.
