Bought my machine here for a great price and got a great class to learn how to use it, for free. I'll be going back for a serger, next!
My home had THREE machines that were not working. We brought them all to get looked at and fixed up. I loved being there during the initial trial of each machine to guess what was the problem. We were quoted about $110/machine and about one week before we heard back. Our final price was spot on and our machines were like new after only a couple days. Thornton has renewed my love of sewing!
Thornton’s has been my go to sewing machine shop for almost 20 years. They’ve always provided exemplary service. I recently had an emergency with my main machine that I use daily for my alterations business. I’d planned to drop off and hoped I could get it back within a week. They were able to take a look and fix it while I waited. I was so grateful they went above and beyond to get me back up and running.
My mom and I have been return customers at Thornton’s for 4 years now for repairs and advice, and were happy with the service provided until 2 months ago when 4 extremely important parts were stolen off of my mom’s excellent condition Bernina Sewing Machine. The Stitch Plate, a spare Presser Foot, Bobin Hook, and Bobin Case were missing when the machine was examined after we took it to them for a repair. I have been sewing for most of my life. I am now retired and still have a lot to learn. I met Sarah when I took my old Husqvarna in for service. I was immediately impressed with her knowledge and decorum. After completing the service information, I was drawn to the machines for sale.
