THE WORST BUILDER EVER! Our first home is a nightmare. Moisture readings of 99% in our walls, lifted laminate flooring, rusty nails and mould on the exterior, water damage to the door frames and skirting boards, all within a few months of build completion. Customer service is non existent and they wont help us at all even though we are still under the QBCC 6.5 year structural warranty. The start was pretty poor and took a lot to get over how badly things went, but the measure of a company is their resilience and despite an absolutely irate disappointed customer they kept trying to fix my concept of their build. I am still unimpressed by the start of my journey and home but it is at least coming together and things have been fixed or explained as needed. Would hate to work in construction. The requirement to throw a house together vs the desire to do appropriate workmanship would be stressful.
I keep editing trying to get less than one star but it won’t work. Even the clothesline is faulty
Thompsons have owed my business over $80,000 for more than 12 months. Im not sure about their financial status, so i would be very cautious proceeding with a company that is unable to pay their bills. Many builders are financially strained and its high risk if they are not financial to finish a build.
