Arrived to the hotel at 12pm, already had notification that my room had been upgraded via app (Hyatt Globalist). I expected a straightforward check-in since i already was given the option for a mobile key upon arrival. Presented credit card and ID, and the front desk representative said she was going to upgrade me and when i showed her that I was already assigned a suite she said it was a better suite, her favorite. I honestly expected much better. The hotel requires reservations for breakfast, even for paying guests, but nowhere during check in or in any of the information provided was this mentioned. Finding out only after showing up is incredibly frustrating and completely avoidable. If you’re going to require reservations, make sure your guests actually know about it.
