Our annual tradition is to seek our FS cabins we have never been to, and we absolutely loved this one! Very manageable roads to get there and fairly close to White Sulpher Springs. The inside has recently been remodeled, and there's a good amount of cookware and supplies on hand. Gipsy lake is beautiful and only a mile from the cabin. We'll be coming back again indeed!
Loved it saw deer turkeys, wood stove for heat cooked on propane stove laterns for light nice and quiet, gypsy lake for trout. Great time away from people.
Beware the rocky and treacherous, unpaved, and extremely potholed road. Bring everything you need and expect to pack it out. Be prepared for swarms of mosquitoes. Lake is super cold - can't swim.
