I have seen Dr Xu over the course of 5 years for just routine checkups. I happened to get sick with bronchitis and he was out of the office so I went to urgent care. I called his office twice to schedule and appt when he returned. They couldn’t schedule an appt for a couple weeks. They told me he is very busy and doesn’t have any sick visits for a couple weeks. Dr.Xu, on the surface is a good doctor. Great credentials and reviews. When meeting with him, he often belittles any worries or concerns and defers to reviewing blood work. The issue is that the blood work is processed quickly, but his schedule does not allow for a quick review of concerns. I requested additional blood tests per my nutritionists' recommendations and they were completely dismissed. He appeared to be bothered I even requested them. Dr. Xu is by the textbook and that's it. I have been a patient of this doctor since 2017 and have always found him knowledgable, friendly and helpful. However since the Pandemic it has been impossible to get an appointment with him. I don't visit Drs. often and when I call for an appointment it is usually my last resort and I feel quite sick. It has happened twice now that the Dr. (or his staff) refused to make an appointment for me. Dr. Xu is knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. I felt comfortable discussing my issues with him. I went to Stamford Health twice on a walk in basis and he made a successful diagnosis and brought me to my healthy self again. On my last walked in visit, I first saw a different doctor and did not get better from the medication for almost a week. That was the worst week because I felt tired and sick all the time. Thank you Dr. Xu for making me healthy again. I highly recommend Dr. Xu.
Drove two hours for my physical. Kept calling with updates along the way Appt at 4 I arrived at 4:11 to be told to late “he is to busy”
