Dr. McEwan caused permanent damage to my left eyelid. Surgery he planned for my right eyelid was done on my left eyelid. He offered to fix the damage with an eyelid skin graft surgery. I refused because I couldn't find out if he had done eyelid skin grafts before. I also couldn't find out if he had done a successful eyelid surgery before. I did find out he didn't specialize in eyelid surgery. I ask countless times but he nor his office would tell me his eyelid surgery training or experience. After my initial breast cancer diagnosis at St. Luke’s East Breast Center, I went to Mayo Clinic for a second opinion. I was planning on having all of my surgery and follow up in Rochester. After meeting Dr. McEwan, and bombarding him with questions, concerns, and what I already knew as an RN, I felt 100% confident in his abilities, and I am very happy with the work he has done, and how he has treated me as a patient. I couldn't have ask for a better Dr. to care for me during my Breast cancer surgery and the reconstructive surgery. Dr. McEwan and his nurse, Brooke, were great to deal with throughout this whole ordeal. I greatly appreciate everything they have done. The entire staff has been great to me. I would recommend them to anyone needing their services. Thank You to a wonderful Medical Staff.

I had an abdominal reconstruction to remove an abdominal wall mass. I had abdominoplasty in conjunction. I am 2 mos post op and am extremely pleased with my results. Dr. McEwan has been absolutely amazing from the start. He makes himself available to patiently answer questions and concerns throughout my recovery. I could not be happier with the entire experience from the surgical aspect. Easily 5 stars!

Dr. McEwan is a detail oriented, fantastic surgeon. I got a reconstruction/lift, and not only did he spend extra time in OR trying to make the cuts/sutures as minimal and few as possible. I have never met a physician whom took time getting to know me, my goals, & explain options & the processes of each & what was best for me. He went above and beyond, my results were great. I love his staff. The best part was EACH staff member helped me feel as best as possible in my recovery- the hardest part!
