I had a leak in my downstairs bathtub/ptrap. They told me they were going to have to demo about 4 feet of concrete in my basement to fix the issue. That would have involved tearing out the flooring and basebaords. Once done, replacing flooring, baseboards and painting. This would have cost up to 2k in additon to the repair. I got a second opinion from another plumber and they were able to fix the issue without tearing out any flooring. Seems like they were just trying to get more money out of us for no good reason.
