I traveled from Colorado Springs to Boulder today to see Dr. Thomas Minor regarding my complex sleep apnea. I have struggled for over 2 years to find a pulmonologist that would take the time necessary to properly assess my condition. To date, I have seen 5 pulmonologists in the Colorado Springs and Denver areas. Most have been kind, all have been baffled. Dr. Minor has helped me with my sleep challenges. When I first saw him I was taking a fairly large dose of medication for sleeping. I still wasn't getting much quality sleep. I was first given a sleep test to rule out apnea. Dr. Minor then gave me some education re my TBI's and chronic pain issues. He also helped address my anxiety around my sleep concerns throughout my time working with him. I'm now sleeping with far less medication and getting much better sleep.
