I met Dr. Cao, due to having gone to Sherman's Immediate Care, they sent me to Sherman Hospital's ER. They took tests and found the pain I had was flank pain. That's the first I knew that I had Stage 4 kidney cancer. He was the oncologist that came to see me when I was admitted to Sherman. He took great care to make sure I understood & didn't panic. I have a rare genetic disorder and I have seen Dr. Cao and I think he is brilliant. He is compassionate and understanding and he LISTENS to you. He tries to come up with the best plan of attack and considers what you have to say. That is extremely rare when it comes to doctors. My disease cannot be treated by just anyone so it is important to have that level of trust and confidence in the doctor that I have. I'm extremely grateful to this man
Dr. Cao is one of the most competent doctors I've eve huring a regular office visit, he looked at my neck and said something does not look right. He felt my glands and suspected I may have lymphatic cancer. He sent me for tests and a biopsyThe results came back negative, but my lymph system is not healthy. He closely monitors me and takes monthly blood tests. Dr. Cao saved my life because if he didn't notice a problem, I may have never found out until it was too late! I trust him with my life!
