One of the most poor healthcare experiences I’ve ever had. As others have stated, I felt rushed and unheard as well. Seems this is quite habitual for him.He cut me off every other sentence, didn’t allow me to ask any questions before rushing me out the door, and couldn’t have done less to make me feel like I was being taken care of.Left feeling disrespected in many ways, including my time and money.
I saw him for a colonoscopy and EGD he was very knowledgeable and to the point. He took the time to answer my questions before and after the procedure. I was impressed with his bed side manner and the ease of the procedure. No pain!
Outstanding physician! He is in a league of his own. Highly intelligent well trained doctor!
My wife had to endoscopy procedures which went well; we were told that Dr Shireman would call us with the results in2 to 3 days; after 3 days we called and left a message asking for the results; after 2 more days we called again and a nurse read the report to us and when we asked to explain the results, she had no clue She just added thay my wife had a referral to a surgeon at KU but she did not know why; so we finally had an appointment with a PA 3 days later which went well.
Great one on one consulting. He goes a great ways to help you understand everything about your issue.
Dr. Khalid seems entirely unconcerned with the well-being of his patients. Despite the extreme issues I’ve been having, he’s scheduled appoints at least a month out; and he never does anything to help me when I finally get in to see him. He’s flippant and uncaring. If he were the only GI doctor in the world and I had a life-threatening GI disease, I think I would be better off just letting myself die than visiting Dr. Khalid.
I had my first ever colonoscopy at NKC Hospital Pavilion July 2019. I knew I did not want to use a surgery center (to many horror stories), and wanted it done at a hospital. I picked Dr. Shireman from the info I found on the web. I checked reviews, comments, years of experience etc... & had it done at NKC Hospital Pavilion. He was excellent. Dr. Shireman has a great sense of humor. He is an active listener and very knowledgeable. I have referred 2 clients to him. Side Note: I have been to several other GI Doctors and he is the one I kept as my go to GI Doctor. Berry
