I couldn’t get past the request for a $150, out of pocket, registration fee! This “healthcare professional” doesn’t have his priorities in order. I find this very greedy and unprofessional.
Where to begin? The upfront fee, which was disclosed as a one time new patient fee, but another patient warned me it’s charged annually, whether you’re seeing Dr. Shapiro or not. I was asked for photo ID, my insurance cards, and my credit card, then given a 6-8 page form to complete. The woman handed my cards back to me with the receipt for my new patient fee. Dr. Michael has a very caring demeanor. It took him less than 4 minutes to remove a piece of wax and small plastic object from one ear. One of the best ENT's in Marin County.
Dr. Shapiro is the salt of the earth. Incredibly kind, gentle, understanding, and meticulous. Could not recommend him more highly.
