12 years ago this month I had lap band surgery at St. Luke in Florence Ky. I lost 190 lbs and have kept it off for 12 years. I am half the size I was before from a 4x to a size 12. I loved Dr. Sonnastein so caring and supportive in your wait loss. I hated it when he left this area.
I successfully had the gastric sleeve and was very satisfied with the work that Dr Sonnenstine and his staff did. He really takes the time to talk to you and make sure everything is as it should be. He seems to genuinely care, unlike some doctors. I would definitely and have recommended Dr Sonnenstine to anyone considering this surgery.

Had gastric bypass surgery 12/19/17. Am only a couple pounds from my goal and have lost over 80 pounds. Love Dr. Sonnanstine, his staff, and their program. Would highly recommend.

Dr sonnanstine is amazing. I was scared to death to do this surgery but going through his seminar convinced me it’s what I needed. When I met with him the week before my surgery he made me feel so comfortable. The surgery was my first ever and his team was amazing. I had very little pain only from gas. Whenever I needed anything his team was there within seconds of me pushing that button. I can’t thank this man enough from changing my life.
Doesn't explain conditions/procedures well; Office staff lacks competence, very disorganized; Calls to physician office go to voicemail which no one ever returns; Can't talk to a nurse, must leave message, 50/50 chance they call back. No follow-up whatsoever. The entire office is unprofessionally run.
