We stayed at the Northshore beach house in September 2024 for a week. There were multiple problems with the house, but Thomas Beach Vacations did an outstanding job of sending maintenance workers to try and repair everything. I will never rent North Shore again! I'm so disappointed in the owner of this home. We save up all year to rent an oceanfront beach home and encounter this experience! we stayed at one more time #2 july 2024, it was disgusting there were roaches. water was leaking over the breaker box , bathrooms smell like urine because when using the toilet they moved. everything was run down. used thomas vacations before will never again, was not whatwe expected for how much we paid. ruined our whole vacation
i have a couple large beachfront properties in NMB. i applaud Thomas Beach Rentals for providing me individualized service, responsive service, understanding the market and maximizing income, and providing cleaning services that were superior to what anyone else could deliver. Be careful when you rent from Thomas Realty at Myrtle Beach, SC. They partner with Red Sky travel insurance. We had to cancel our trip due to my Mother’s health. Red Sky had to have lots of info from my Mother’s doctor. Wjen I purchased the travel insurance, (on Thomas Beach Rental Website)I thought it provided coverage for any cancellation. Thomas refused to refund my deposit of over 5K, even though I cancelled over two months ahead of my scheduled stay. Buyer beware.
Paid $16,000 for a beach rental. Check in time was 3:00 according to their Happy Stays App. Called a week in advance and e-mailed requesting check in early. Called at 4:00 pm to request status and they have not even started to clean property. Went by property and there is no cleaning service there. Now they are saying may be 7:00 pm before we can enter. My 8 grandchildren are crying. Will never rent from this company again.

We regret that Mr. ******* could not get into his property early. However, we can never guarantee access time. Our rental agreement clearly states that check-in begins at 3 p.m., but we cannot guarantee a property to be ready by 3 p.m. He was never promised a 3 p.m. check-in, nor was it feasible. I wrote a view on the rental property Pete's Retreat. I was shocked to get a email response stating, They did not received a call from us pertaining to the house not being clean. Dah, I should have to call is the point. We paid to stay at a rental that is suppose to clean prior to arrival. It is not my JOB to use my vacation time for your company to do your JOB. I just stayed in Family Tide. The home is absolutely beautiful. The pool is gorgeous. We had a wonderful time. The home has plenty of space, was clean and nicely decorated.
We just returned from our family vacation at the Aqua House rented from Thomas Beach Vacations. The pictures of the house were nothing like the actual condition of the house when we arrived. The carpets and furniture were filthy and there was a wet bathing suit left in the couch along with cigars and cigarettes on the deck. After five minutes of walking in the house, our white socks were black on the bottom. The lamps have to be plugged and unplugged, per their sign, to be turned on and off. This guest did phone Thomas Beach Vacations on SATURDAY, JUNE 19th, not Sunday, and asked for a re-clean of the back deck and yard. A work order for a re-clean was submitted at 3:51 p.m. There were no issues noted by the guest regarding the inside of the property or cleanliness. This was the only contact Thomas had with the guest. There were no voicemails or additional contact made. To our knowledge, the issue had been resolved with the re-clean of the yard and deck.
We have been staying at Beach Villas, Unit B, at Cherry Grove for over 20 years & call it our home away from home. This unit has always been extremely clean & convenient. We love not having to go up steps nor elevators and just walk right in on the first level and walk right out onto the beach. We also love the screened in porch with rocking chairs.
