Absolutely outstanding physician!!! He was attentive, knowledgeable, patient, and answered all my questions thoroughly. He apologized for running behind, which I greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend him for anyone who’s looking for a wonderful ophthalmologist.

I went to Iowa City and Dr. Oetting with 20/20 vision in my only good eye, but with the lens lose. I left there with 20/150 vision, a retina pucker, and a damaged cornea. He and their “retina specialist” specialist Dr. Russell suggested another surgery, but I wanted a second opinion FOR SURE! They tried to pass my lack of sight to MD which others say I do not have. Dr Oetting’s office recently cancelled my mothers eye appointment that was scheduled a year prior. She’s in her late 70’s and has macular degeneration and she really needed to see the Dr. They blamed the cancellation on COVID and refused to reschedule her a new appointment. They told her to call back in a month or two. She relayed to the person on the phone that she really needed to see the Dr because she was having issues.
