A very nice farm stay. The apartment was very comfortable and spacious, and the breakfast was nice. We enjoyed watching feeding time with the sheep.
Really enjoyed getting away from the city and coming for a stay out here. The accommodations were so cozy, clean and beautiful. Keith is very hospitable and friendly! The trails available were a highlight for me as an amateur birder; I got to see some pretty amazing stuff (including a pair of gorgeous green herons in a tree). The sheep and llama were also so cute and picturesque, grazing in the fields. It was very relaxing to just sit and watch the landscape with a cup of coffee here. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. As a plein air painting group we were impressed by the variety of scenes to be found on the farm. Fields, ponds, marshes, cedar woods, barns, sheep, farm implements and more. Keith was such a welcoming and helpful host who made sure we could sketch and paint even in inclement weather. The accommodations were spacious and comfortable. We hope to go back to this beautiful place some day.
Thistlestone is a great place to relax. A cup of coffee and a view of the barns as the sun rises behind you, giving the trees, ponds and barns a golden glow is the best way to start your day.
