the ribeye steak is the best ive ever had
I made the mistake of going to this bar last night. There was a woman working the door that was incredibly rude. My boyfriend and I tried walking through the door when the woman physically stopped me by putting her arm across the doorway and then yelled "ID's!!" at us. I thought she was just a patron as well, being that she was gabbing with a man that looked homeless outside. This place has great food for the right price. For a bar establishment its not just your typical bar food. There is fish fry, pork chops, ribs, and a yummy cheddar melt with a lot more. The people are friendly with an intimate setting like something out of the tv show Cheers. The bartender's service the bar and wait on tables and for doing both, we had great service. This is one of the few bars in St. Charles I always return to. The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is very relaxed and you cannot beat the food (not to mention they have a foosball table!). I guess what I like the most is the fellow patrons, very easy to talk to and chill. Best part is that it's right across the street from the Arcada...great place to go before or after a good show. BTW if you want raw bacon, bring your own...they don't serve it here (idiot).
Mediocre. That is the best word to describe our experience tonight. I suppose if it was between this and another 2 star joint, I might come here to mix it up if it was the ONLY other choice. I had the fish fry and my girlfriend had a burger. Originally ordered the cod, which was barely warm in the middle. Switched to the thinner perch and it was decent.
