18mo after our full renovation we've had to replace the flooring because no moisture barrier was used, floors buckled. Found black mold everywhere. Original flooring was so worn down that you could push a hole through it with your thumb. A complete subfloor had to be added with 2 moisture barriers, something the contractor should have advised. We had an extensive renovation which had many small problems. However, one year later, we find that our Air Conditioner was installed on a plastic pad, not concrete as required. Many of the subcontractors cut corners and did not do as requested or retired by basic safety code standards. This includes paint, plumbing, A/C and electrical in our experience. Avoids calls and is very hard to get ahold of.

Good: Has some knowledge. Nice (while you're paying him) Bad: Overextends himself and will avoid you if there is any issue. His subs are terrible and cut corners, his plumber used plastic PVC on the exposed pipes on a claw foot tub. His electrician installed the wrong fuses for the AC. His AC guy, Clarence, messed up the AC installation and would set appointments and no show on 4 occasions. People are nice and seem to be helpful however they didn’t do all they were supposed to in our case. They pressure you to pay immediately and then when we want follow discussions it’s impossible to make contact; won’t call back after mutiple messages left. So don’t pay them until you are satisfied otherwise your loss.
