Worst experience every. This is a very small summary of what happened. If you have time to waste, go for it. They will not get you approved for a refinance. I spoke to several reps. There was no one person of contact. They are unorganized. They lose paperwork. I had to stay on top of them to get things done. They wasted over 2 months of my time. Hello, an error was made by me when changing ins company's for my home which I have a mortgage with third federal. So I was with out ins for one day. Good thing was knowing happen with the house. What did happen is the third federal purchase a insurance policy for August 27 2021 to August 27 2022 in the sum of 2,959.00. funny thing or should I say dumb thing they purchase on Nov 2 2021. than cancelled it a day later and is charging me every 6 months. for that one day repeatedly. I never write bad reviews we typically just move on our way however; this was the worst banking experience I’ve ever had. We have financed probably 20+ properties over the years and never had issues until this bank. We considered refinancing with this company, It took them nearly 2 months to do the paperwork. During that time they were incredibly unfriendly, unresponsive, unprofessional/unorganized, and downright rude. Save yourself time, energy and stress and bank anywhere else.

I have been receiving emails to refinance the remainder of our mortgage. This is egregious as we applied 60+days ago and were declined for reasons, we feel, are unacceptable. Our first mortgage, held by Third Federal, was paid in full 3 years early, and, our LTV on our remaining equity line, (draw period has expired), is 80%. Our loan has never been in jeopardy.
