Thermo Tec are a local family run business and I was impressed from start to finish. For years I had been looking for a gas furnace quote yet the big companies ignored me because I wasn't interested in the heat pump system. I like gas, it is a clean burning product and we have abundant gas reservoirs off our very own coast off Vancouver island so I am not concerned about future supply. Plus natural gas is cheap. Edit to the response from Thermotec: A new heating system is completely feasible..... But when I have a perfectly functioning heatpump and a perfectly functioning furnace that used to run together perfectly, it seems a waste to put them both in the land fill. *********'****************************Mike and his team installed and maintained my heat pump since 2007. I had thermotec install a gas furnace and I’d say it was not a very good install. The installer used a lot of aluminum tape. No screws. I had to repair the install. Now 6 years later, the ECM blower motor fails. Thermotec has now taken a week to get parts and yet to install it. It’s cold out! They are better than most out there, however, do your research, ask around. Just reporting my experience.
