Sharon has been an incredible support to our family. She helped our son work through challenges with summer care, transition to kindergarten, and navigate the year and we honestly don’t know what we would have done without her.. We found Therapy 2 Grow just in time! We knew our son probably had ADHD, but we learned more about Sensory Processing Disorder the minute we stepped into Sharon’s “office.” We are so thankful for her quick response to my email inquiry. She was able to set up an appt within a week or two of my initial contact. Our son got evaluated and plugged into her weekly schedule. After my 3 year old son’s diagnosis, I searched for a neurodiversity affirming OT who could help my kiddo overcome sensory challenges. We were advised to pursue ABA by a well meaning pediatrician, but I wanted someone who could see past his behaviors, which may have seemed “avoidant,” and focused on his needs and build on his strengths. Having only lived in the area for less than a year, I did a quick search for OT near me when my child’s doctor recommended we try OT. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Sharon was a mere 7 minutes from me. The convenience was a nice-to-have but more than that, what we found in Sharon was a caring guide/teacher and counselor. She puts her all into each session and helped us navigate challenging issues by coming up with strategies and getting us setup in the sessions to implement them at home.
