MaryAnne is so easy to relax around and it makes the massage that much more effective. The space is adorable and she is communicative. I already want to book again!
As a fellow massage therapist myself, I would like to take a moment to speak of MaryAnne's style. I have currently only been once and plan to go again. Massage is such an incredibly healing art and there are many styles, modalities, schools of thoughts, various trainings, continuing education, etc., as well as requirements to become licensed in each state. Maryanne is the sweetest and most considerate person! I always book with her when celebrating my birthday and treating myself. I recently had the full body sugar scrub which was 75 minutes of massage and exfoliating. She did a complete massage and then applied sugar scrub to my back, arms, legs, and feet. She used hot towels to remove the sugar product and I left feeling like I was on a cloud!
The massage was decent. However, inappropriate comments were made about my appearance, specifically my “bacne” as MaryAnne put it. I did not ask for any advice, nor did I even bring it up on my own, but MaryAnne went on a tangent about how “we need to normalize back facials.” This also is not relevant to the reason I was there - to get a massage.
