I ended up waiting two hours past my appointment because apparently the front desk person didn't sign me in properly, despite taking down all my information and sending me on to the waiting room. I just wanted to say my recent ER visit at Thedacare on Meade st was as great as an ER visit can go. Obviously never want to be there, but the staff from the front desk to the nurses/ APNP and xray/ct technicians were amazingly kind, helpful and attentive! I'm beyond thankful for them. My issue will need follow up with my primary, but they ensured I wasn't experiencing anything life threatening and were considerate about pain management. The nurses and staff in the actual emergency room are great. However I had to drop off a lab sample later in the day at the reception desk and I have never in my life been treated as rudely and disrespectfully as I had at the front desk. I don't feel well hence being at the emergency room earlier in the day and the lady that was checking in my sample made me feel like I was a prisoner at a correctional facility.
