If you’re craving authentic Maharashtrian flavors, Thecha is definitely worth a visit. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and packed with the bold, comforting taste. The Smokey Misal Handi was rich, spicy, and full of depth, while the Kothimbir Vadi had the perfect crispy texture. The Vada Pav tasted just like the classic Mumbai street food, and the Dahi Puri was fresh, crunchy, and perfectly balanced. The Thecha Paneer and Thecha Idli brought the signature spicy kick without overpowering the flavors.
Ours was the first event at Thecha on the day of their grand opening. Ours was in the evening of March 21st. I had ordered the Misal and Sinhagad Thali. The taste was authentic, and the quantity was generous, more than enough for one person. Loved the spicy Misal, the variety in the thali, and the homely flavors. Great place if you’re craving authentic Maharashtrian food.
This was my second visit, and unfortunately, my second bad experience. We arrived around 2:15 PM, close to closing time. If you were about to close, it would have been better to politely let us know that you were no longer accepting orders instead of serving food that didn’t meet expectations.
