I am very pleased with my decision to have my bilateral hip resurfacing operation with Doctor Chris Wainwright at Mackay Mater Private hospital on 12 May 2026. I’ve only had the 1 consult so far but I’ve NEVER been more impressed with the service of a healthcare provider. The male receptionist was lovely and welcoming, and Dr Wainwright was thorough in his explanations as he discussed my issue. More importantly, however, he asked questions and actually listened to my answers. The consult felt personalised and not like I was just another number. When it came time to examine my knee, another lovely (female) receptionist was in the room to provide a chaperone which made me feel safer.... read more
