Staying at Thea's HOTEL made our trip to Banff even more wonderful! We were served a delicious breakfast that looked great and changed daily. It was one of the things we enjoyed, and it put us in a happy mood to start the day. From our room, we could see Mount Cascade, and the view was truly wonderful. In addition, there was a good selection of cookies and drinks, so I was able to enjoy a comfortable stay. There was also a parking space for each room. Awesome place to stay! Pete was wonderful! He gave us great advice on what to do while we were in town as well as where to go during our visit. Not only was the service wonderful, the breakfast was outstanding! Pete took a lot of pride in what he made and we enjoyed every last bite. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone staying in banff, and will come back in a heartbeat if we’re in the area again. The rooms were great, the breakfasts were stellar (we couldn’t help but have it even on the morning with a booked food tour elsewhere), and the hosts were extremely kind and helpful the whole time. They thought of everything too - there’s bikes/bags you can borrow, to go bags for the food, and great rec’s for the area.
Thea’s Tea House is exactly what I imagine a mountain B&B should be—welcoming, cozy, and thoughtfully run. Hosts Peter and Alexandra were warm and helpful throughout our 4-day stay, always ready with great advice. A standout suggestion was walking along the Bow River to the Waldhaus Restaurant instead of driving—stunning and one of our favorite experiences.
