I had a solar install project DIY, with major assistance and help from The Yacht Rigger crew. Their professionalism, knowledge and skill are unparalleled. Brian, Will, Will, Steve, Jesse, Andrè, Carrie and Courtney, (everyone really) were critical in getting my boat up to speed! From the electrical, the welding, the aircon/shorepower issue, the blueprints and direction, everything was perfect. You'll find no better group for all your boating needs. Much love from Tony, Jenny, Zoey and Foo Bird

2023 Update: Just had the crew at The Yacht Rigger help us out with some repairs after Hurricane Ian and we remain impressed by their work and culture. We needed a new custom arch for our dinghy, paddle board storage, and solar array. Brian did an amazing job taking our wish list and making it a reality, with thoughtful solutions and a genuine caring for the outcome. Other work included window rebedding, hatch replacement, fiberglass repair, and wiring for new solar panels. The entire crew was incredible! 2021: The Yacht Ri... read more

I needed to build a high quality model catamaran for my business and already knew these guys were the best around. Even though this was a small project, they gladly helped out. So I now have pretty darn realistic rigging for my model catamaran. I worked with multiple people there and they were all stellar and went out of their way to help.

I've had three fabrication jobs done by the folks at The Yacht Rigger. The masthead wind vane bracket started as a sketch on a sweaty bit of paper. The finished stainless bracket was precise, as designed, and the welds were beautiful. The retaining pins on my old Cape Dory's bow fairleads sheared. The old pins were drilled accurately and new pins were made that I could install on the boat. I wouldn't think twice for future jobs - if I was within a day's travel of St Pete, I'd call The Yacht Rigger. Andy SV Jane Ann 1979 C... read more

My wife and I are in the process of outfitting our Pearson 422 for cruising in the Caribbean. I have worked with these folks on everything from and arch/davit system with solar and wind power regeneration integrated, to my rigging and windless. They have installed my mast step, as well as a new roller furling. I am from this area, and am all to familiar with a lot of the sketchy characters in the marine industry. Steve and his group are honest, straightforward, and dependable. Their craftsmanship, in my opinion, is seco... read more
