I’ve been coming to the works for years and I’ve always really liked it but my last few visits have been underwhelming. The iced chai tastes like a glass of sweet milk, the everything bagel has nothing on it, and a lot of times whenever I get a sweet bagel it tastes garlicky which is really unpleasant.
Really cute, affordable lunch spot. Friendly staff and very clean. Definitely recommend for a budget friendly bite.
Stopped in to pick up breakfast. They were not crowded but the couple in front of me was ordering bags of bagels ... I had no problem waiting but was happily relieved when a manager recognized this couple would be a while and opened another register. I ordered a sesame bagel - not toasted and without a smear - just a bagel in a bag, and an egg sandwich with spinach and provolone on sourdough.
