Started the gym back in Jan and thought it was okay / friendly etc. Due to personal circumstances I went to cancel my monthly membership and on the spot was informed I’m locked in for 12 months. This was never once said, I had not signed any contract to the fact (or a verbal one for that matter) Luckily direct debits were all wrong as it is with different amounts etc so I managed to speak to the company and negotiate it down (though not sure why I had to go to those lengths if nothing was agreed).
