This is the first of weekly reviews of the total incompetence of the Maintenance Department at Solon Pointe Nursing & Rehabilitation. I hope future reviews will show me eating my words. Lt me be clear: nursing, personal assistance, dining, activity, and housecleaning are fine. What keeps this facility from being top rate is the maintenance department. The director there, Don Dye, is awesome! He always ensures all the residents are well taken care of.
My mom was in the assisted living at Solon Pointe for about 6 months before we moved her to another location. So first of all we liked the director at Solon Pointe. His name was Don and he was always very friendly and seemed to genuinely care for the residents. Our biggest issue with Solon Pointe was the food and activities. The food looked like it was just thrown together and there was never any fresh fruit or vegetables. My mom couldn’t eat the slop they were serving, so we bought her groceries for each meal.
