All I’m saying is that things can go wrong with any company but my final assessment is what the company does if/when there is an issue. After they had done a job for me (install an electrical outlet for my stove: 2 hours labor (1st hour used installing it “wrong” and 2nd hour correcting it + part (receptacle) = $345) I phoned The Wire Guys three times (and mailed in a comment card they had provided) to discuss/ resolve the issue. Our annual warranty visit on our whole house generator was excellent. The gentleman warned us and discussed turning off our power. The power was off and the generator turned on. The gentleman was professional and courteous. He answered our questions and it was a positive experience.
I had them come to my house for a simple thermostat change. The bill was really high for work done. I called and requested an itemized bill and it was explained to me they do not provide itemized billing. They then informed me they charged for travel time at the hourly rate of $125 . We live about an hour away and would never have hired them if we knew this! Also they upcharged on thermostat that was $63 and charged us $93,along with paying hourly time of tech. They came and did a service on my 36kw generator. Did a great job with good pricing. The unit was a little dirty and the technician cleaned the outside. He was very professional. Would use them again.
This is the 3rd time I have used this company for electrical work. First, was removing old subpanel and installing baseboard electric heat. Second time, had recessed lighting installed in 4 rooms. Most recently purchased a Generac whole home generator and had installed through "The Wire Guys". Very professional, quality work. Techs took time to explain what they were planning on completing and reviewing work along the way. Would recommend.
