Made a booking for high cheese the day before (Friday) for Saturday at 6pm. Was really looking forward to our night and happy to travel 35km to get there. Was most disappointed to find when we arrived, that there was no booking. The manager asked the kitchen/chef if they could fit us in and the answer was no. Very strange that a Manager could not make the call. They had all our details, phone number, email etc and we were never contacted prior of any issues or problems with our booking. A perfect place to stay for a weekend indulgence with some culture of a show or two! The service was impeccable and our room was spacious and very comfortable.
Right from having the door opened for us, the warm welcome at reception, the clean and tidy room, the big comfortable bed, the good restaurant, the cute lobby to sit in and have a drink to the quick check out, this hotel was a wonderful stay. All staff were friendly and helpful. I asked for more tea bags for our room which were promptly bought to our room, and I appreciated that the concierge remembered the next day and asked me if I needed more tea bags. Super central location. All staff I interacted with were very professional and accommodating. Rooms are a great size, beds very comfortable and all amenities are very clean. Highly recommend.
