The man tried to replace a crown on my antique wrist watch and when I got it home I tried to wind it up but instead the crown came off taking some of the stem with it! It appears to me that he didn't check the two functions that the crown controls which are setting the time and winding the main spring. If he had he might have discovered a problem.
