Truely a experience! Every we had from starters to dessert was delicious. When I say EVERY BITE was amazing I truly mean it. This was plate licking level. We enjoyed the Squad Ink Pasta, Chicken Piccata, Garden Veggies, Baklava Cheesecake, and Gelato & Epresso. (No pictures were taken because we dove into every dish). We have visted all the resturants in Berkeley springs the last few months since we have settled in the area. The Atmosphere is great and the service was attentive. The halibut was too spicy and a little overcooked, the rigatoni was tasty. Extra ice tea was required to calm down the spicy halibut. The one issue was we were suprised to be charged for refills on the ice tea and coke products. Then the waitress admited that free coke refills were given but not ice tea refills. I had an excellent dinner at The Vine Trattoria. The halibut was beautifully prepared—perfectly cooked with outstanding flavor—and the beet hummus was a surprisingly delicious complement. I paired it with a Raspberry Spritz, recommended by our server Jasmine, and it was spot‑on. The food, the service, and the overall experience left me with absolutely no complaints. Been here a few times over the years. Mediocre food that would embarrass most Italians at fairly high prices. Charging for literally two bites of bread is a bit insulting. No functioning AC, so with hot weather it’s boiling hot inside. No dogs even on the patio. Staff was always friendly at least.
Disappointing evening because of the food. Our drinks were great, our server, Caitlin was excellent. The restaurant itself is in a great location and is bright and airy. But the food was a huge disappointment. We had the gnocchi’s with basil pasta sauce and the angel hair pasta. The website boasts fresh ingredients, so there was an expectation of homemade pasta.
