This is a very poor hospital. It has the I don't care attitude. There was some good help but most don't seem to care. Was in the hospital for 2 days without any one checking my diabetes or giving my medication for it. There were other bad things also.
Go here to get an infection. This hospital is a giant petri dish. Nearly every heart surgery patient will eventually have to have the sternum removed due to infection.
My mother in law was in this hospital recently and the nurses and physicians were wonderful. I was surprized to learn that this hospital has the second largest open heart program in Florida. They treated us with great care and respect. I would highly recommend this hospital.
Majority of nurses on staff taked very rudely to my loved one. Only when he was transferred to a new section for the cancer patients who were dying was he finally treated with respect. I will never again have someone I love brought to this hospital. They didn't even have certain supplies on hand that was needed, ones that any hospital should have.
