Please do not send your loved one here if they have any psych issues. You may be told that they can handle them but they cannot and will not be able to. It may be fine for regular people without psych issues but they will not handle those that are difficult. I heard aids say they would not take care of my sister, only one was able to really deal with her, probably because she had a little bit of compassion for somebody with mental issues. I recently visited this facility hoping to tour it for a family member, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. When we arrived at what I believe was a reasonable time, neither Marjorie at the front desk nor Jacqueline from admissions were available to assist us they both stated they “didn’t have time.” We were not offered any information about the facility, services, or next steps, which made the visit feel unwelcoming and unprofessional. My mother has stayed at several rehab facilities and one assisted living facility prior to her stay at Saint Edward’s in Fairlawn. She has been there since June 2025, first as a rehab patient and then she remained there for long term care. She passed away peacefully yesterday morning, 2/15/25. I wish I knew about St. Edwards two years ago. It has been the best of all the places she has been. The other rehab facilities she stayed at were all terrible experiences.
