We were excited to try Village Bakery for the first time but unfortunately we were disappointed. We grabbed a few things to go before a Saturday morning bike ride. We had the Quiche Lorraine & ham & cheese croissant. We ordered the large Texas Kolache (it was a large round one in the case) but we were given a smaller rectangular one (realized after we had already left). The chocolate and strawberry croissants are really good. The chocolate is really rich and the pastry is the perfect texture. My sister said the strawberry croissants was, “The best thing I’ve ever tasted in my life.”
This place is straight up excellent! Imagine a place you go to because you saw them on TikTok and thought “wow they are doing a good thing for the community” and when you end up on a road trip that takes you past them you stop. This place isn’t just good for a bakery that is giving special needs folks a chance to shine this place is just GREAT. We have gotten our kids birthday cakes here the last 3 years! They have done an amazing job each time and they taste amazing!
