My mother was in the memory care unit at the Village at Northrise; we knew from the start we would need to be with her daily to ensure good care (there were a few good caregivers). These are first hand observations: short staffed, staff always on their phones, engagement activities limited to non existant on weekends, residents were neglected and left on their own, facility dirty and neglected.
