I can't give enough praise to Victorian Lady. I've gone almost yearly for the past 6 or so years and it is always beautiful with excellent service. We love to shop as well. It's a full experience with delicious food as well, and I never leave hungry! You can buy tea in addition to all of the other lovely things. Carol is an excellent host. I tell all my friends! Easy and accessible parking in lot next door as well. Be sure to call in advance for a reservation as it fills up fast, and for good reason!
The Victorian Lady of Academy Hills never ceases to please me. Or the friends I sometimes bring here. All are amazed as they never knew of this. It's afternoon tea, but it's also like a step back in time. The tea is always great, as are the appetizers, main course, and dessert. Highly recomnebded. But one needs a reservation.
I am not sure how this place has high ratings. Probably because people are inexperienced with High Tea. I will say that the place is crowded. But it is clean and decorated tastefully. There is a small gift shop. For the high tea experience though? The tea was good. I got the Buckingham Palace and it was a typical Earl Grey tea. Nothing too special. The food? Bland. I had such a wonderful experience at the Victorian Lady. I took my mother there for tea and we both loved it. The tea room was beautiful and cozy, the tea selection was very good (I loved the Buckingham Palace), and the food was excellent! I can honestly say I have never liked a single scone that I've ever tried but the one I had at the Victorian Lady was so good that I was sad when it was gone. I can't wait to go back!
