This is my third year living here. When I first lived here it was great and it has since gone downhill. The front desk staff are usually good but sometimes do not have the answers to my questions. Every year before this current one I have had no issues but this year I have had multiple issues with my front door and my fob not working to get into my apartment. Overall, the Verge is a gorgeous place to live. Very nice and a super convenient place. I planned on living here next year since I already renewed, but unfortunately UC is taking over next year and I purposely picked the Verge because it was independent and after living in UC Housing, I swore never again. Don’t do it. They don’t communicate. They tell you you can renew and then they want to move your room. They are horrible at communicating with their residents. Didn’t even tell them that they were working with UC for rooms my daughter found out on tik tok. Parents should run from this place.
If you’re thinking about staying here. DONT!! Throughout my 5 years at UC I’ve stayed all over the place and the verge is the worst and most expensive. It takes forever to get an issue addressed, multiple tickets, calls, and communication, then they show up and break more stuff and close the ticket. The mail system is non-operational, they lost so much of my mail. And the front desk persons can’t help at all, they keep saying come by tomorrow and nothing changes tomorrow. I have lived here over a year now and it’s just gone so downhill. While the management team has some really friendly people, and the amenities come in handy (like the gym and occasional free food/gifts for residents) there shouldn’t be this many recurring issues for a monthly rent so high. If you want to be able to hear other people’s full drunk conversations in the hallway in middle of the night, this is the place for you. Walls are thin as paper.
