Staff is great (especially Xavier at the front desk. He's great) but the construction is poor-- we've had water leak into our apartment and the air conditioning breaks a lot. I honestly think there's something going on with the bathrooms because a few weeks ago there was a girl in the lobby literally sobbing about how there's probably mold from some leak in her apartment. Apparently her apartment kept flooding . She said she'd talked to the manager, Joe Vela, about it several times and nothing had been done. It's a mess real... read more
Big fan
I’ve visited many buildings, but Vandewater has such a unique feel. Xavier, Darien, and other staff members learn your name, greet you warmly at the door, and treat you like a human person. As soon as I walked through the door, I felt like I was in a home space that was professional but not transactional, personal but not intrusive. It’s refreshing to visit NYC and have such a hospitable, human experience. Thank you, Xavier, Darien, and staff!
