TVC loves barriers to getting care. Absolutely bonkers that you require a referral to see a specialist that I’ve been established with and have seen within three years. Tried filing a grievance and nothing came of it except a recommendation to get a referral or seek care elsewhere that does not require a referral. This explains their F rating on Better Business Bureau. 15 formal complaints and a failure to respond to 14 of them.
Update: followed response to Vancouver clinic below and “filled out their online form”. Email response to the form this morning confirmed they will not take me as a patient due to who my secondary insured is. If I drop that insurance they will take me but only at the beginning of a new month. original post: If I was rating the medical staff, I would rate at least a 4 star. They no longer will see you in urgent care unless “you have some other connection” with the clinic. I take that to mean a primary care or referral to a specialty from your PC. I was told it’s a new thing, as I’ve been to their urgent care before and was seen with no problem. No mention of this great new progressive policy on their website or when I checked online. The Vancouver Clinic (especially this location) is such an all around great clinic with caring staff. The urgent care is efficient and has friendly staff... and knowledgeable doctors (Dr. McDaniel). The labs are just across the way for a blood draw. Everything is synced. It's great! They also are so clean, which I very much appreciated when I went in for my overnight sleep study.
