We hosted a large family celebration here and it was absolutely wonderful. It is such a special venue--the ballroom is gorgeous and the different parlor rooms and the huge covered porch create all kinds of nooks for people to catch up with each other. The upstairs bedrooms were so convenient for our out-of-town family. There isn't a full kitchen so if you're planning to serve plated hot food that's one limitation to consider.
