Though we did not end up holding our wedding celebration here, I want to thank the amazing team at the Urbane Arts Club. When a stormy weather forecast threatened to ruin our original wedding plans, we reached out in desperation with only a week (!) to go, and Brittney, Hannah, and their day of coordinator immediately sprang into action to put together a comprehensive plan for how to move forward. The staff at Urbane are very helpful, and the space is beautiful. We hosted a staff retreat for about 15 people, and were comfortable throughout in terms of chairs and tables, heating, bringing food deliveries in, and so forth. The layout worked beautifully for our celebration. The two rooms off the entryway were ideal for a cocktail hour. (One of them has a bar built in.) The main hall fit our party of 36 guests with plenty of room to spare. We had three tables, ... read more
A Literary Haven in Brooklyn I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Urbane Arts Club in Brooklyn for two nights, and I can’t recommend it enough. From start to finish, it was a dream. The hosts were so lovely—warm, gracious, and completely appropriate in every way. They made everything feel effortless and welcoming. The space itself is spotless, beautiful, and rich with history. It feels like stepping into a literary retreat—I truly felt like an author in residence. The atmosphere is thoughtful and inspiring, and the ... read more
