Brought in our 5yo son for a super deep lip laceration, we had a head ct, moderate sedation and stitches and we were in and out in 2.5 hours. We're in from out of town and were nearly scared off by the bad reviews, but we had an excellent experience. I'm a nurse myself and was very happy with everything start to finish.
Daughter had severe ear pain. They saw us within 10min Dr Stringer was amazing and interacted with her wonderfully. Nurse was also very sweet! Great quick experience.

My husband went last week since my son had such a positive experience with the upstairs portion during his stay last year. They did zero blood work, no fluids or tests and they told him to go home and take Tylenol. Thankfully, we didn’t listen and went to Hospitality where he got blood work and was septic. He needed to be transferred to Dallas for emergency surgery. Disgusted at their lack of care or knowledge.
Unless you're coming in by ambulance, or life-flight, don't bother. You'll sit in the waiting room for 3 hours while *no one* gets seen. There are plenty of standalone ERs in Tyler that will treat you like royalty while taking care of what ails you.
