I have had some issues and complaints while getting treated for my stage 4 metastatic cancer but I wanted to give a review for one of the nurses who has given me treatments twice. Caitlin is the absolute best! Very professional, makes me feel comfortable, kind and asks if I need anything, and even makes me laugh. A nurse like Caitlin boosts up positivity which I think all cancer patients NEED. I feel like KU MED should have Caitlin train other nurses and show them how patients should be treated. I brought my elderly neighbor (who I watch over) in for her appointment with Dr Sharma somewhat recently. They have never really had a good bedside manner here, but this particular time they were downright rude and even cruel. We waited over an hour to be seen. We were finally taken back to see Lindsie, Dr. Sharma’s assistant (not a nurse). She was taking her vitals while asking a dozen questions and she didn’t even write anything down. overall a great experience! staff, drs nurses, all very caring. my only complaint is the front desk guy at bmt clinic almost always has either no mask, or pulled down! in a required mask place!!! talks about his weekend fun etc, but , man! you are potentially spreading germs to a very immune compromised bunch of good folks! PLEASE follow the guidlines
Great hospital. Dr. Martin and staff are wonderful.All the nurses in the hospital were kind and helpful. The whole hospital was very positive!!
