Tried the virtual urgent care once and chose to pay with insurance instead of paying the “fixed cost” $60 offered when scheduling an appointment. I meant why wouldn’t I otherwise what’s insurance for? Few weeks later, I got the insurance bill and it turned out that U Chicago billed the insurance company $250. How on earth can the price be different?!
I am extremely disappointed with the valet service at this hospital. While valet staff are often the first point of contact for patients and visitors, the experience here was overshadowed by the behavior of the afternoon supervisor. His attitude toward employees was disrespectful and unprofessional, and it was uncomfortable to witness the way he spoke to his team. Awful! Signage was awful. Could hardly find the ER. Staff was cold & unhelpful. Waited 4 hrs not seen. No patient privacy. Full names called out. Family has to sit across the street leaving patients alone to wait for hours. Anywhere should be better than here.
